Stuart Liddell - "Blue Cloud and Mason's Apron"

Champion Scottish bagpiper Stuart Liddell playing a Jig & Hornpipe during his recital at the Braemar Gathering and Highland Games centre on 26th March 2022. The first tune "The Blue Cloud" composed by Adam Quinn about a car is a challenging and famous 6-parted jig complete with slide notes, made famous by the Simon Fraser University Pipe Band. The second tune "The Mason's Apron" is a traditional tune Hornpipe, an early version of which entitled "Braes of Glenorchy" dates back to a collection of Strathspey Reels from 1778.
